He said the festival will open as usual in the Roscommon Livestock Mart on Wednesday May 2 with a special sheep sale and this year there will be a reenactment of a traditional fair day scene courtesy of Tommy Murray and the Roscommon Drama Group.

Roscommon’s premier wedding venue, the Abbey Hotel, had a record turnout for its eagerly anticipated wedding fair on Sunday afternoon last. The early spring sunshine brought record numbers to the venue for one of its most successful wedding fair turnouts in recent years.
